One of the most popular social security schemes launched by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in June 2015. The primary goal was to offer housing for all by 2022 when India completes its 75 years of Independence. If you are interested in purchasing a house under PMAY, you need to check if you are eligible for the program and then apply. If you have already applied for a house under the scheme, then you need to be aware of the application status by entering a few details.
There are four ways to do so. They are –
- Checking through Aadhaar: The steps are as follows –
- Visit the official PMAY portal or click on the given link (https://pmaymis.gov.in/Open/Find_Beneficiary_Details.aspx)
- Click on the search beneficiary tab on the top panel.
- A disclaimer appears on the screen that you need to accept.
- You are then redirected to a new page where you need to provide the Aadhaar details and click on show option.
- You can check the PMAY application status once done with the above steps.
- Filling personal details: The steps are –
- Visit the PMAY scheme portal, else click on the link (https://pmaymis.gov.in/Open/Find_Beneficiary_Details.aspx)
- Now, go to the option ‘by name, father’s name, & mobile no’ tab.
- Enter details such as the state name, district name, city name, your name, father’s name, and mobile number.
- Click on submit for checking the application status.
- Entering assessment ID: The process involves –
- Enter the official website of PMAY or directly head to the mentioned link (https://pmaymis.gov.in/Open/Find_Beneficiary_Details.aspx)
- Go to the option ‘by assessment ID’ tab. The moment you apply for the PMAY program, you are provided with an assessment ID which you should take note of when checking your application status in the future.
- Input the assessment ID in the first tab and add your mobile number in the second.
- Submit them to check your PMAY application status.
- Status for Gramin applicants: The first three options were relevant to the urban population. However, under this scheme, you even the rural segment benefits. Applicants from the rural areas can check their Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana can check their application following the mentioned steps –
- Enter the PMAY-Gramin portal and enter your registration number.
- Submit the same to check your application status. If you do not have a registration number, you can use the advanced search tab.
- You get redirected to another page where you need to provide details such as the state and district name, block, Panchayat, scheme name, financial year, and the account number. You can select these details from the drop-down menu.
- Enter the data in the search tabs which include search by name, search by BPL number, search by sanction order, or search by father or husband’s name.
- Click on search and check your application status.
Under the PMAY scheme, the Government aims to make affordable and sustainable pucca or concrete homes in urban as well as rural areas. The aim is to rehabilitate India’s image as a developed country of the future. The Government also provides subsidies on interest rates which is why the scheme is also called Credit-Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS).
